THE CONSTITUTION
of the CANTON CHRISTADELPHIAN ECCLESIA
BYLAWS AND RESOLUTIONS
51 Rules of Order
Resolved: That the rules contained in Robert's Rules of Order shall govern this
ecclesia's business meetings in all cases to which they are applicable, except
where they may conflict with the other provisions in this constitution, bylaws,
and resolutions.
52 Registrar's Duties
The registrar shall, in addition to recording attendance at our own memorial
service, keep a record of the number of times each member breaks bread elsewhere
if such information is voluntarily supplied. Also, the registrar shall submit an
annual report to the arranging brethren showing for each member respectively, in
two adjacent columns, first, the number of times in attendance at our own
meeting, and, second, the total number of times one has broken bread, whether in
attendance or not if such information has been voluntarily supplied.
53 Divorce and Remarriage
Resolved: That we accept as our guiding principles the statement of the
arranging brethren of the Birmingham Central Ecclesia published in The
Christadelphian for July, 1950, page 213, and attached herewith as
Appendix C.
54 Voting Eligibility
Eligibility for casting a ballot in any ecclesial election shall be confined to
those members of the ecclesia who have attended our memorial service at least
fourteen times during the twelve months previous to the election.
55 Sending Flowers
Flowers from the ecclesia shall be sent to funerals only of members of
the ecclesia and parents or children of members. Flowers from the ecclesia sent
to those in hospitals shall be limited to members of the ecclesia and Sunday
school. This includes members living in isolation.
